Rob Roy

The Rob Roy is whisky's answer to a Manhattan cocktail. A seductive mixture of single malt whisky and vermouth, its simplicity allows the whisky to sing, making it the perfect showcase for our lowland single malt. This King's Inch Rob Roy was developed at one of Glasgow's best whisky bars- The Gate- where locals and vistors share drams and stories across for the iconic Barrowlands ballroom.

Mixed By The Gate

You Will Need


50mls Kings Inch 

30ml Martini Rosso

2 dashes Angostura (or orange) bitters


Method

  1. Stir ingredients down with ice in a cocktail tin until metal is too cold to hold. 
  2. Double strain into a chilled coupette. 
  3. For added aroma, twist orange peel over the glass to release essential oils (then discard). Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
