Old Fashioned

This iconic cocktail screams sophistication and is served in all the best Glaswegian establishments. This recipe comes from one of the city's very best whisky bars- The Gate. Created to perfectly balance the fruity and soft spice notes of our single malt- this King's Inch Old Fashioned is the perfect beginning, or end, to an evening spent among good friends.

Our Twist On The Classic

Mixed by The Gate, Glasgow.

You Will Need


50mls Kings Inch 

12ml Gomme Syrup (equivalent of a teaspoon)

3 dashes Angostura bitters

Orange Peel (to garnish)

Method

  1. Stir all ingredients down with ice in a rocks glass until very chilled. 
  2. Garnish with a proper maraschino cherry and an orange peel twisted over and round the rim of the glass.
